It was wonderful to hear the news that Maureen Lloyd was recently invited to Downing Street in recognition of her voluntary work within her local community.  The reception was hosted by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, The Rt Hon Lucy Frazer KC MP.

Maureen was one of the original STAGBI Directors when the organisation was founded and over the years has given an incredible amount of her time to STAGBI and the publishing of STAGBI’s Stud Book.  Her understanding and appreciation of the importance of committing as much information as possible about the Standardbred breed to the record books to both preserve and further the breed.  In addition, Maureen continues to promote harness racing with regular updates sent to the local papers in Wales.

Congratulations Maureen from all at STAGBI, Directors and members alike. Thoroughly well-deserved and keep up the good work.
