For 2023 STAGBI will once again be rewarding succesful breeders through several Bonuses and initiatives that support BRITISH BREEDING.
BREEDERS PREMIUM
The STAGBI Breeders Premium is a National Breeders Premium and will be awarded to the Breeders of the top 5 females (Mares/Fillies) and the top 5 Males (Horses/Colts/geldings) by number of wins. To be eligible for the Breeders Premium the horse will be British Bred (i.e. conceived and born in GB); STAGBI registered and Breeder to be current STAGBI member. Each winner will receive £200 each.
INTERNATIONAL BREEDERS PREMIUM
The International Breeders Premium will be awarded to the Breeders of the most succesful (as deemed/voted by the STAGBI Directors) that has been exported. To be eligible, the horse will be British Bred (i.e. conceived and born in GB); STAGBI registered and Breeder to be current a STAGBI member.
BRITISH BREEDERS BONUS
This award is presented to the breeder of the winner if specific named races. The races shall be selected ahead of the Racing season by the STAGBI Directors. To be eligible for the Breeders Bonus the horse will be British Bred (i.e. conceived and born in GB); STAGBI registered and Breeder to be current STAGBI member.
The nominated races for the 2023 season the Breeders of the winners of the following nominated races will be rewarded:
£500 – BHRC Sire Stakes 2yo (to be split if more than one eligible winner)
£500 – BHRC Sire Stakes 3yo (to be split if more than one eligible winner)
£500 – NWHOA 4yo Championship (to be split if more than one eligible winner)
£250 – Appleby Spring Final
£250 – Boughrood Final
£100 – To each division of the STAGBI British Championship Race
£100 – Golden Girls Final Winner
BHRC SIRE STAKES LEADING SIRE
The Leading Sire of the BHRC Stakes will be awarded a STAGBI Bonus of £250. Stallion to be STAGBI Registered and owner to be STAGBI member.
W&BRA STAGBI SERIES
STAGBI will offer an Owners Bonus to the top 6 Mares and top 6 Colts/Gelding over the 2023 season. Points will be allocated during the season – Grade A & Grade B races 1st 5 points; 2nd 4 points & 3rd 3 points. Novice races 1st 4 points; 2nd 3 points & 3rd 2 points and Baby Novice 1st 3 points, 2nd 2 points & 3rd 1 point.
To be eligible for Bonus horse will be British Bred (i.e. conceived and born in GB); hold a STAGBI Passport, currently STAGBI registered and the owner to be current STAGBI member.
