STAGBI would like to congratulate the connections of the SHRC 3YO Derby and Oaks winners last night at Haugh Field.

Both winners were from the first crop of two UK resident stallions, which gives a big thumbs up to British breeding and also makes them eligible for the STAGBI British Championships races.

SHRC 3YO Oaks

IMPERIAL FLAME, 3 yo Filly by Tom Hill (CAN) x Rhyds Firebird/ Hasty Hall (US) bred by Imperial Standardbreds, owned by Linda Cassells.

SHRC 3YO Derby

I SHOT THE SHERIFF 3 yo by Henry Hill (US) x Come Closer (US)/Artsplace (US) bred by Jon Harvey, owned by William Grieveson.

Both TOM HILL (CAN) and HENRY HILL (US) are two young stallions imported to the UK in 2019 and these are their oldest offspring.

TOM HIIL (CAN)  is 10 year old son of American Ideal (US) and is a full brother to US successful Stallion He’s Watching (US).  TOM HILL (CAN) took his record of 1.50.2 as a 3 year old, he was a winner at two, three and four years of age with earnings of $92,644.

HENRY HILL (US) is 9 year old son of Roll With Joe (US), winning 3 of his 5 lifetime starts.  He has a record of 1.50 with earnings of $44,050.

Full details of both stallions and all STAGBI registered stallions can be found in the 2023 STAGBI STALLION DIRECTORY
