NEWTOWN JODY made her return to the racetrack a winning one in the latest leg of the STAGBI Mares Race.  Marc Jones’ mare APOPKA G, who has contested all three races to date this season, finished second putting her way ahead on the current leader board with 24 points.  KAIYA CAMDEN’s points at Tir Prince and York places her second position with 13 points with Wales & West regular FORAFEWPEARLSMORE in third position with 12 points.

The top 10 mares will be invited to the Golden Girls Group 1 Final at York on Saturday, 7 Oct.  Current standings after 3 races are as follows:

The next BHRC STAGBI Mares’ Race is scheduled for the 4 July at Tir Prince.

The W&BCRA STAGBI Mares races will be held at Presteigne, 2 September and NISA STAGBI Mares’ date is still to be confirmed.

Please remember, mares need to be STAGBI registered and the owner needs to be a STAGBI member.
