The new STAGBI Stallion Directory is now on line.

The STAGBI Stallion Directory list all STAGBI registered stallions with detailed information on all active stallions. New stallions have been added along with stallions that have been upgraded following the annual end of season review.

With his first winning progeny MATADOR HALL (US) has now been upgraded to a Grade A and OUT OF CHARLES has been upgraded to a Grade B.

New stallions registered include: WILD BILL (USA), recently imported from USA. A son of Somebeachsomewhere (US) with a record of 1.49.1 (RT 1.48.4) and a full brother to Huntsville (US). This will be his first season at stud and therefore with no current winning progeny he is currently listed as a Grade B Stallion.

There are several new stallions in the Grade C section and they include VICTIMISED (US) an imported son of LUCK BE WITHYOU(US) and WARRAWEE WILL (US) the only son of Captain Treacherous (US) currently standing in GB. They are joined by a whole host of stallions by White Flame namely, BOWERSHIELD FLAME, WILD DREAMS, BEACH FIRE, Mc RONNIE and WHEELS ON FIRE.

Other familiar names added to this year’s Directory are ALWAYS B MIKI (US), BLOOD LINE (US), CAPTAIN CRUNCH (US), FORECLOSURE (NZ) and SWEET LOU (US). They have now been included in the Directory, as it is a STAGBI requirement that all imported semen used in GB is registered with STAGBI. However, the progeny of these horses will NOT be eligible to enter the STAGBI British Championships (with the exception of Foreclosure foals born in 2020, 2022, 2023 & 2024 as they were conceived when he actually stood in GB).

The Directory also includes Pacing Sire statistics from the 2023 racing season as per results issued by BHRC, IHRA, W&BCRA and NISA.

Pacers that raced in 2023 were sired by 109 different stallions and for the second year in succession the leading sire by the number of wins and number of winners was DOONBEG (CAN) with 34 individual winners, winning a total of 83 races. The overall stallion with the highest earning in 2023 was Sweet Lou (US) (£93,348), however the highest STAGBI registered Stallion was TOM HILL (US) (£69,462) closely followed by HASTY HALL (US) (£69,231) and SEE AND SKI (US) (£62,269).

There has also been a few new Trotteur Francais stallions imported and they include: BLACK D’AVRIL (FR) by Oceano Nox (FR), a recent import from France who has a record of 1.10”9 and earning of €541,720 with winning progeny in France; POWER JET (FR) by Ganymede (FR) 1’11’7 396,663 whose offspring in France to date have won over 3.5 million and DIABOLO DE JOUDES (FR) by Saxo de Vandel (FR) 1’16”4 €52,190 is also imported from France.
